Q&A
Do I need to know how to code?
You do not need to write every line by hand, but you should be comfortable running an AI coding tool, replacing placeholders, previewing the result, and checking its launch checklist. The kit supplies the design and implementation contract; you remain responsible for the final site.
What exactly is in a scene kit?
Six files: a setup guide, a detailed master builder prompt, a motion spec, drop-in CSS tokens, image and video asset prompts, and a responsive/accessibility/performance launch checklist. Files are delivered as Markdown and CSS inside a ZIP.
Can I use these for client work?
Yes. Crew covers bespoke sites you build for yourself and clients while your pass is active; completed client sites may stay live after cancellation. Studio lets you sell finished or substantially customized websites as products. Neither license permits redistributing the raw kits or turning them into a competing template or prompt library.
Why subscribe instead of buying once?
Because the library grows. Four new scenes land every month, tuned to whatever the newest models can do. Studio exists if you'd rather pay once — most members choose Crew and cancel whenever they've got what they need.
What if I don't like it?
Request a full refund within seven calendar days of the original charge using the support address on your receipt. No explanation is required. A refund may end access to the source kits; your mandatory consumer rights still apply.
Are the AI tools and hero videos included?
No. BACKLOT supplies the prompts, tokens, specifications, and checklists. Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Kling, Veo, Runway, hosting, domains, and other third-party services have their own accounts, usage limits, prices, and terms. Every scene includes a coded visual fallback so video is optional.
How do I cancel?
One click from your receipt email or the billing portal. No retention flows, no "are you sure" maze. Your access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
